Rep. Jim Jordan, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, published a series of posts on September 5, 2025, highlighting recent crime statistics in Washington, D.C., and expressing support for President Trump’s policies.

In a post from early that morning, Jordan questioned media coverage under Democratic administrations by writing, "Can you imagine this headline during any Democrat administration?" (September 5, 2025).

Later the same day, he shared new data on crime in the nation’s capital: "New D.C. Crime Stats:

-Violent crime, down 39%

-Robberies, down 57%

-Homicides, down 58%

Thank you, President Trump!" (September 5, 2025).

By the evening, Jordan expanded on these themes by listing several policy outcomes he attributes to President Trump: "-Crime down in our nation's capital.

-Southern border secured.

-Families can afford to fill thier gas tanks.

-No Tax on Tips.

-No Tax on Overtime.

-More middle class tax cuts.

President Trump's America!" (September 5, 2025).

Jordan has served in Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in 2007 and previously held positions in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana at age 59, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
