Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, recently posted several statements on social media addressing crime and political leadership in major American cities, as well as expressing support for former President Donald Trump.
On August 14, 2025, Jordan wrote: "President Trump is trying to keep local families and tourists in our nation's capital safe from violent crime. Why are Democrats so against that?"
Later that day, he commented on city leadership by posting: "Cincinnati - Democrat mayor Washington, D.C. - Democrat mayor Chicago - Democrat mayor Notice the trend?" (August 14, 2025).
In another post the same evening, Jordan questioned President Biden's foreign policy abilities: "Can you imagine if President Biden had to negotiate with Putin tomorrow? Thank goodness for President Trump!" (August 14, 2025).
Jordan has served in Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in 2007 and previously held positions in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
