Rep. Jim Jordan, who represents Ohio’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account in early August 2025 addressing issues of public safety, immigration policy, and trade.
On August 5, Jordan commented on crime in Cincinnati by stating, "You’re not safe in Democrat-run Cincinnati. Business owners are speaking out. People have had enough."
Later that day, he highlighted efforts by former President Trump and Attorney General Bondi regarding immigration enforcement: "President Trump and AG Bondi are working to keep you safe from illegal aliens. Great news!"
On August 6, Jordan addressed border security and economic policy, writing, "The southern border is closed. Historic trade deals are being made to boost our economy. And Democrat-run sanctuary cities aren't getting away with their illegal policies anymore."
Jordan has served as the U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 4th District since 2007, succeeding Mike Oxley. Prior to his congressional tenure, he served in both the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate from 1995 through 2006. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan holds a BS from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a JD from Capital University.
