Rep. Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, raised concerns on July 30, 2025, about the United Kingdom's approach to justice and alleged censorship efforts by British officials.

In his first post, Jordan stated: "Britons were rightly concerned about a justice system that treated government critics more harshly than violent criminals. Right-of-center leaders in the UK were justified in criticizing this “two-tier” system of justice." (July 30, 2025)

He followed up by questioning actions taken by UK officials: "So, what did Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer and Technology Secretary @peterkyle do? New documents produced to the Committee show that they tried to censor people who called out the UK’s two-tier justice system for what it was." (July 30, 2025)

Jordan concluded with allegations regarding communications between UK authorities and technology platforms: "Then, DSIT directed platforms to 'come back to us' on 'any measures you have taken in response.' The implication was clear: the UK was telling platforms to censor true 'narratives' about a 'two-tier' justice system." (July 30, 2025)

Jim Jordan has served as Ohio’s representative in Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in 2007 and previously held seats in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
