Rep. Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, has recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing public safety, media coverage, and government oversight.
On July 28, 2025, Jordan commented on crime in Cincinnati, writing: "You’ve not safe in Democrat-run Cincinnati. Will the Left condemn the violence?"
The following day, he questioned media accountability regarding past reporting on Russia-related investigations: "How many media outlets will retract their statements about the Russia Hoax today?" (July 29, 2025).
Later that same day, Jordan referenced an inquiry into possible governmental influence over online platforms: “House probes whether EU, Biden administration pushed Spotify to censor podcasters” https://t.co/yIN31DTuWt (July 29, 2025).
Jordan has served as a member of Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in 2007 and previously held seats in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana at age 59, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
