Rep. Jim Jordan, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district, posted a series of tweets on July 25, 2025, addressing the ambush attack on police officers and concerns over alleged censorship by European Union regulators.

In his first tweet at 12:42 p.m. UTC, Jordan commented on the death of Officer Phillip Wagner, stating: "Officer Phillip Wagner lost his life in a horrific ambush attack on him and two other police officers. We are praying for the officers and their families. These attacks must stop and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. God Bless our brave first responders."

Later that day at 1:02 p.m. UTC, Jordan shifted focus to what he described as censorship efforts in Europe. He wrote: "THE EU CENSORSHIP FILES 'We need to take back our country' = ILLEGAL 'hate' speech in Europe. New secret docs show how EU regulators are pushing Big Tech behind closed doors to censor conservatives. Thread: https://t.co/Og8VGlAwyM" In a follow-up tweet posted seconds later, he added: "Today, we’re releasing a report with preliminary findings about the EU’s censorship regime."

Jordan has served in Congress since 2007 after replacing Mike Oxley and previously held positions in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964, he currently resides in Urbana and holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
