Rep. Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, posted a series of tweets on July 22 and 23, 2025, alleging increased severity in the Biden administration’s actions toward Catholics based on recent oversight findings.

On July 22, Jordan stated: "Thanks to our oversight and FBI Director Patel’s transparency, we now know that the Biden Admin’s targeting of Catholics was worse than we thought. The Biden-Wray FBI: -Spied on a priest. -Attempted to violate priest-penitent privilege on reasoning that the individual under https://t.co/1wUwXJE5m9".

Earlier that day, he had posted a link without additional commentary: "https://t.co/38GV8dCLa7".

Later, on July 23, Jordan followed up with another post: "The only thing we were wrong about is that it was worse than we thought. https://t.co/ISU77MyZIJ".

Jim Jordan has been an active member of Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in 2007 and previously served in both chambers of the Ohio legislature. He was born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently resides in Urbana. Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
