Rep. Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, recently posted several statements on his official X (formerly Twitter) account questioning federal funding for public broadcasters and sharing other content.

On July 16, 2025, Jordan wrote: "Why are NPR and PBS receiving taxpayer funds? MSNBC doesn’t get any. CNN doesn’t. Fox News doesn’t. They shouldn’t! https://t.co/gBmdhmf7Yq"

Jordan also shared two additional posts containing only links to external content, one on July 16, 2025 (https://t.co/op99rUbTxo) and another on July 17, 2025 (https://t.co/fmZs3klxHQ).

Before serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, he was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000 and served in the Ohio Senate from 2001 to 2006. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964, Jordan is currently a resident of Urbana and holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
