On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Coldwater High School standout Madison Wendel’s current college team, the Central Michigan Chippewas, lost 4-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois Fighting Illini.

The game took place at Dail Softball Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Fighting Illini this season.

The Chippewas’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m. at Dail Softball Stadium against North Carolina State Wolfpack.
