2021 has 2.4% of Mercer County residents unemployed

Mercer County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.4% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 545 people out of the 42,154 living in Mercer County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Mercer County has decreased compared to the 2.5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Mercer County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 21,904 people who had a job during that time, 24 were employed in the Armed Forces and 21,880 belonged to the civilian labor force.
