Hair Love with Matthew A. Cherry in collaboration with N.A.P.S. (The Natural and Prosperous Society)
Matthew A. Cherry is a writer, director, and producer most known for his work on the book and short film "Hair Love."
When "Hair Love" was released in May 2019, the book immediately became a New York Times bestseller and was nominated for the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Picture Book. "Hair Love" won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2020.
Join us as we screen "Hair Love" and Cherry dives into his life, career, the natural hair movement, and self-love. This will be a HYBRID experience with Cherry joining us virtually.
