Fabio Leite, Associate Professor of Psychology shares his first work with the Lima campus community in memoir, "A Long Way From Bitingui: A Journey within the Americas" (2021).
"What did it take for a young adult to navigate the change from his native Brazil to living in the U.S.? A Long Way from Bitingui is an innovative memoir that retraces the author's journey from the scene of a crucial conversation in Bitingui, Brazil, and points both to past and future events from there, revealing how early experiences shaped the way toward and highlighting life lessons along the way. In doing so, the book tells a fascinating tale of cultural intelligence to which travelers and hosts alike can relate."
