Cost of college went up for all students at the University of Northwestern Ohio

Tuition and fees rose 2.7 percent for 2018-19 at the University of Northwestern Ohio, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio students paid $11,350 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $300 more than the $11,050 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 734 students received grants or scholarships totaling $3.9 million and 808 students took out student loans totaling more than $5.9 million.

Including all undergraduates (3,420), 2,361 students used grants or scholarships totaling $15.3 million, and 2,526 students took out $18.2 million in federal student loans.
