On September 29, Jordan posted: "Democrats: Illegal aliens and criminals first. Republicans: Americans first!" This statement draws a contrast between the priorities of Democrats and Republicans as seen by Jordan.
The following day, he commented on Major League Baseball's postseason, stating: "The road to a Cleveland Indians vs. Cincinnati Reds World Series begins today!" This post refers to the start of the MLB playoffs and expresses anticipation for an all-Ohio championship series.

Jordan has served in Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in 2007. Before his tenure in the U.S. House, he served in both the Ohio House of Representatives (1995–2000) and Ohio Senate (2001–2006). Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964, Jordan currently resides in Urbana and holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
