Rep. Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, posted a series of tweets on September 29, 2025, criticizing Democratic leaders and their policy decisions.

In one post from the afternoon of September 29, Jordan questioned the actions of Democratic mayors: "Why would any Democrat mayor reject President Trump’s help to clean up crime in their city? Doesn’t make sense."

Later that day, he commented on ongoing political debates in Congress: "Democrats want to force a government shutdown so they can give illegal aliens free healthcare. Priorities!"

Earlier that morning, Jordan shared a link via his account but did not include additional commentary: https://t.co/Svq0yD3x0P.

Jordan has represented Ohio's 4th District in Congress since succeeding Mike Oxley in 2007. Before his tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, he served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000 and the Ohio Senate from 2001 to 2006. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964, Jordan is currently 59 years old and resides in Urbana. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Juris Doctor from Capital University.
