Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, posted several statements on social media criticizing crime in cities led by Democrats and expressing support for President Trump’s efforts to address urban safety.
On September 18, 2025, Jordan wrote, "Incredible. God bless Rush and Charlie." Later that day, he posted another message referring to Chicago: "Democrat-run Chicago."
Continuing his commentary on September 19, 2025, Jordan stated: "Democrat-run cities are filled with crime. Their people deserve better. Thats why President Trump is trying to make them safe again. Will Democrat governors and mayors work with him?"
Jordan has served in Congress since succeeding Mike Oxley in 2007. Prior to his current role, he was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000 and served in the Ohio Senate from 2001 to 2006. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964, Jordan currently resides in Urbana and holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
