Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, posted a series of messages on his social media account addressing crime policy and educational investments in Ohio.

On September 9, 2025, Jordan commented on criminal justice trends in major cities. He wrote: "We shouldn’t be surprised:

If you defund the police, you get more crime.

If you let repeat offenders out of jail time and time again, you get more crime.

If you have soft-on-crime prosecutors, you get more crime.

Sadly, this is what you get in Democrat-run cities."

Later that day, he highlighted an investment in local education by the automotive industry: "Honda donated $100,000 worth of robotics equipment to train engineering students in Ohio.

Great news for the future of our state!

The following morning, Jordan posted a third message consisting solely of a link: "https://t.co/nmyT6bGqoN" (September 10, 2025).

Jordan has served as Ohio’s 4th District representative since succeeding Mike Oxley in 2007 and previously held positions in both the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a law degree from Capital University.
