Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, addressed crime, public safety, and a local veteran’s passing in a series of social media posts on September 8 and 9.
On September 8, Jordan commented on an incident in Charlotte involving Iryna Zarutska, writing: "What happened in Charlotte to Iryna Zarutska could happen to anyone in these lawless Democrat-run cities. That’s exactly why President Trump is working overtime to keep you safe."
In another post on September 9, he paid tribute to a World War II veteran from Ohio: “Moses Eldridge, Ohio's oldest World War II veteran, has died at 108 years old” God bless him and his family. We will never forget his sacrifice.
Later that day, Jordan shared his views on former President Donald Trump’s policies and their effectiveness: "Trump was right about crime. He was right about the border. He was right about the economy. The only people wrong? Democrats and the media."
Jordan has been active in national politics for nearly two decades, having previously served in both the Ohio House of Representatives (1995–2000) and the Ohio Senate (2001–2006). Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Capital University.
