Rep. Jim Jordan, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, posted a series of tweets on July 28, 2025, warning about the influence of UK and European tech regulators on American speech and detailing recent actions taken by the House Judiciary Committee.
In his first tweet, Jordan stated, "For more than a year, @JudiciaryGOP has been warning that UK and European tech regulators are trying to censor US speech." (July 28, 2025).
He continued in a subsequent post: "UK REGULATORS THREATEN AMERICAN COMPANIES WITH CENSORSHIP.

Jim Jordan has served in Congress since replacing Mike Oxley in Ohio's 4th District in 2007. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1995 to 2000 and served in the Ohio Senate from 2001 to 2006. Born in Troy, Ohio in 1964 and currently residing in Urbana, Jordan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Juris Doctor from Capital University.
