State Representative Angie King, a Republican from Celina, has been named Chair of the House Local Government Committee for the 136th General Assembly. The appointment was made by Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman, a Republican from Lima.

King expressed her gratitude for the appointment, stating, "I am honored that Speaker Huffman has given me the opportunity to steer the House Local Government Committee, and to have the opportunity to serve in a role that directly affects our local community." She emphasized her eagerness to work with local leaders again, noting her experience as an elected official spanning over two decades.

In addition to chairing the Local Government Committee, King will also participate in the House Government Oversight and Health and Insurance committees.
