The Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., supports our right to this information. We requested that the records be provided in an electronic format for ease of use and accessibility.
As members of the media committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, we believe that access to these public records is essential for fulfilling our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we also expressed our eligibility for a fee waiver as a media professional.
We are currently awaiting a response from Auglaize County regarding this request.
