Bequests leave a lasting impact

Bequests are an effective avenue to support the future of the university and leave a lasting impact through your living will or trust. It’s a simple act that can ensure your generosity supports the parts of the university that matter the most to you for years to come. No matter the size of your gift, the impression that you will leave behind will cement your legacy as a benefactor to the institution.  

Bob Simmons is a first-generation alumnus of The Ohio State University at Lima and currently serves as on Ohio State Lima’s board. Simmons chose to include Ohio State Lima as one of the benefactors of his estate. He likes the idea of impacting future generations even after his lifetime.

“I want students who need financial aid to be able to attend college. Securing a four-year degree was a major goal for me and I would like to see others that have that goal get that opportunity,” Simmons says. “The Ohio State University at Lima is a hidden gem. They strive to review and implement new career opportunities for students who attend this excellent education institution.”
