Nominate that Buckeye for an alumni award

Every year at this time, Ohio State Lima puts out a call for nominations for both the Alumni Hall of Fame and the Early Achievement Award, but what is the nominating committee really looking for? The simple answer is, if you are impressed by what your fellow Buckeyes have done since graduation, the rest of us probably will be, too.

Please take a moment to think about your friends, former classmates and other alumni that go that extra measure. Who are you proud to call a fellow Buckeye?

As a refresher, here are the two awards Ohio State Lima gives out and the criteria:

• Alumni Hall of Fame nominees must have graduated 20 or more years ago and be an advocate for the university and regarded as a community leader with a record of sustained professional recognition and/or involvement in community activity.

• Early Achievement Award nominees must have graduated from The Ohio State University no more than 10 years ago and have demonstrated distinctive achievement in a career, civic involvement or both.

• Nominees for both must have successfully completed at least one academic or quarter of full-time study at Ohio State Lima and graduated from Ohio State.

If someone comes to mind, nominate them! Nominations for the 2023 awards are due by April 30.
