Scorched Earth, Broken Lives by Ukrainian photographer Sasha Maslov records the sacrifice Ukrainians are making and the devastating effect the war has brought to the lives of Ukrainian communities all over the country.

Ukrainians chose to fight back when war came to them. Since February 24, 2022, millions of people in Ukraine have resisted Russia’s invasion of their country. Some streamed toward new front lines that stretched hundreds of kilometers on sea, land and air. Some have chosen to dedicate their skills, whatever they might be, to help the country resist.

Scorched Earth, Broken Lives will be on display in the Farmer Family Gallery at The Ohio State University at Lima from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Thursday, January 12-February 23, with further visitation by appointment. A gallery reception will be held from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, January 26. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.
