Mercy Health - Springfield provides mobile mammography screening service for better access to quality care. Technologists on the coach use the same technology and equipment you will find at the Springfield Regional Imaging Center and Mercy Health Urbana Hospital. Both 2D and 3D screenings are available at all our facilities and on our mobile coach.
The mobile mammography coach provides convenient 15-minute screening exams when pre-registered. No doctor order is needed to make an appointment, and most insurances cover a yearly mammogram for women 40 and above. No-cost screens are available to those who qualify, so ask about financial assistance options when you call.
Be sure to bring a photo ID and insurance card with you. Walk-ins welcome but not guaranteed; it’s best to make an appointment.
