All 37 of Shakespeare's plays come to the Ohio State Lima stage

The Ohio State University at Lima issued the following announcement on April 1.

The Department of Theatre, Film and Media Arts at The Ohio State University at Lima presents The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)[Revised] in the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall. The fast-paced play is written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield.

Director Margie Anich describes the play as “3 actors, 37 plays, 97 minutes. 2 much fun!” Audiences can look forward to a whirlwind trip through Shakespeare’s tragedies, histories ad comedies.

Public performances are planned for 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022; 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 9; and 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Not recommended for young children. Tickets are now available online using a credit card. Tickets purchased at the door must be paid for by cash or check. The box office will open one hour before each performance.

The three cast members play multiple parts from all of Shakespeare’s plays.

Ramzy Abukhader, a recent graduate with a double major in English and psychology from Bellefontaine

Molly Baumgartner, a sophomore in business administration major from Leipsic

Zach Welly, a senior in theatre with a minor in psychology from Jackson Center

The stage manager is Alec Keller, junior theatre major from Kenton.
