Cost of college went up for all students at Wright State University-Lake Campus

In-state tuition and fees rose 6 percent for 2018-19 at Wright State University-Lake Campus, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio residents paid $6,194 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $352 more than the $5,842 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 147.6 percent more than residents this year, or $15,338. Their price tag grew 7.9 percent from $14,210 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Ohio residents. And about 3 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 82 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 150 students received grants or scholarships totaling $547,949 and 102 students took out student loans totaling more than $488,947.

Including all undergraduates (1,063), 679 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.3 million, and 359 students took out $2.1 million in federal student loans.
